Gena Schultheis, DDS
Our Crownsville, Annapolis and Dunkirk LocationsDr. Gena Schultheis is a highly knowledgeable and experienced general, cosmetic and implant dentist. She uses a natural, holistic approach in all her treatments, including using non-toxic, biocompatible materials and natural remedies for effective natural healing and pain prevention. She stays up to date with the latest advances in dentistry so she can provide the most effective, minimally invasive care.
Dr. Schultheis is a member of several dental associations, including the American Dental Association® and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is a board member of the Holistic Dental Association and a member of the Eco Dentistry Association. She is also active in several other holistic dental associations.
Dr. Schultheis started her dental career in the United States Air Force, where she rose to the rank of captain and received the Air Force Commendation Medal for meritorious service.
In addition to her general dentist degree, Dr. Schultheis holds certificates in implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontic treatment, laser dentistry for minimally invasive treatment, and SMART certification for clean and safer removal of mercury amalgam. She is a certified provider for ClearCorrect teeth straightening using clear aligners, Six Month Smiles®, Snap-On Smile® and Lumineers® ultra-thin porcelain veneers.
Education
After completing her undergraduate studies at Syracuse University in 2000, Dr. Schultheis earned her dental degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2005. She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program, a one-year dental residency program consisting of hands-on experience and additional postgraduate training in advanced dental care.

Community Service and Involvement
Dr. Schultheis volunteers her time at the local health department and through the Free Day of Dentistry program. She is active in environmental preservation events such as Earth Day, and she participates in activities with the Chesapeake Beach Oyster Cultivation Society.
In addition, she and her staff provide training to the medical community on the relationship between oral health and the health of the rest of the body.

Outside the Office
Dr. Schultheis enjoys yoga, hiking, running and being outdoors. She loves spending time with her husband and three children, especially going skiing with them. She also enjoys listening to music, dancing, reading and cooking.
Sadaf Nasir, DDS
Our Annapolis LocationDr. Nasir earned her dental degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2012. As part of her studies, she did research in the field of oral surgery, and she has published research in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She is a good communicator and values building long-lasting relationships with her patients as they continue to come to the practice for dental maintenance care.
Dr. Nasir is a member of the American Dental Association®, the Maryland Dental Association, the Anne Arundel County Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Jasmine Gear
Our Crownsville and Annapolis LocationsDr. Jasmine Gear is originally from Madison, Wisconsin but spent most of her child in Owings Mills, Maryland. Her passion for dentistry started in high school, during which time, she began assisting in her aunt’s private dental practice during her summer vacations.
In 2013, Dr. Gear received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Southern Connecticut State University and in 2014 was accepted into Howard University College of Dentistry. Upon graduating, Dr. Gear enrolled in a one-year advanced training in general dentistry at East Carolina University.
Following the completion of her program, Dr. Gear relocated to the Island of Martha’s Vineyard, where she worked full-time as the sole practitioner and interim dental director at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. In 2021, Dr. Gear moved back to Maryland to be closer to her family and was hired as chief dentist at Access Carroll integrated health center.
Dr. Jasmine Gear is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Gear has a passion for regenerative and laser dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Gear enjoys listening to audiobooks, true-crime podcasts and volunteering weekly at a community public health center, as well as spending time with friends and family.
