Dr. Gena SchultheisDr. Gena Schultheis is a highly knowledgeable and experienced general, cosmetic and implant dentist. She uses a natural, holistic approach in all her treatments, including using non-toxic, biocompatible materials and natural remedies for effective natural healing and pain prevention. She stays up to date with the latest advances in dentistry so she can provide the most effective, minimally invasive care.

Dr. Schultheis is a member of several dental associations, including the American Dental Association® and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is a board member of the Holistic Dental Association and a member of the Eco Dentistry Association. She is also active in several other holistic dental associations.

Dr. Schultheis started her dental career in the United States Air Force, where she rose to the rank of captain and received the Air Force Commendation Medal for meritorious service.

In addition to her general dentist degree, Dr. Schultheis holds certificates in implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontic treatment, laser dentistry for minimally invasive treatment, and SMART certification for clean and safer removal of mercury amalgam. She is a certified provider for ClearCorrect teeth straightening using clear aligners, Six Month Smiles®, Snap-On Smile® and Lumineers® ultra-thin porcelain veneers.

Education
After completing her undergraduate studies at Syracuse University in 2000, Dr. Schultheis earned her dental degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2005. She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program, a one-year dental residency program consisting of hands-on experience and additional postgraduate training in advanced dental care.

Community Service and Involvement
Dr. Schultheis volunteers her time at the local health department and through the Free Day of Dentistry program. She is active in environmental preservation events such as Earth Day, and she participates in activities with the Chesapeake Beach Oyster Cultivation Society.

In addition, she and her staff provide training to the medical community on the relationship between oral health and the health of the rest of the body.

Outside the Office
Dr. Schultheis enjoys yoga, hiking, running and being outdoors. She loves spending time with her husband and three children, especially going skiing with them. She also enjoys listening to music, dancing, reading and cooking.

 

Sadaf Nasir, DDS

Our Annapolis Location
Dr. Sadaf NasirDr. Nasir earned her dental degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2012. As part of her studies, she did research in the field of oral surgery, and she has published research in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She is a good communicator and values building long-lasting relationships with her patients as they continue to come to the practice for dental maintenance care.

Dr. Nasir is a member of the American Dental Association®, the Maryland Dental Association, the Anne Arundel County Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry.

 

Nhu Thuy Luong, DDS

Our Annapolis Location
Dr. Nhu Thuy LuongDr. Nhu Thuy Luong competed her undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She continued to receive her master’s degree in biomedical sciences at Barry University and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry. Dr. Luong graduated with honors, was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and is currently a member of the American Dental Association®. Committed to increasing her knowledge, Dr. Luong also completed a one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry located at LECOM School of Dental Medicine.

Devoted to giving her patients better smiles and staying on the cutting edge, Dr Luong attends conferences and seminars in continuing education. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, trying new cuisines and is an avid traveler. Dr. Luong and her fiancé currently reside in D.C. and love the lifestyle the city has to offer.

 

Lory Richter, DDS

Our Crownsville and Annapolis Locations
Dr. RichterDr. Lory Richter has been practicing compassionate dentistry for 16 years. She is an Anne Arundel County native, having graduated from Chesapeake High School in 1999. She stayed in Maryland to attend college at Mount St. Mary’s University where she graduated in 2003, with a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Richter then studied and graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2007, where she received awards for Outstanding Performance and Proficiency in Operative Dentistry and Fixed Prosthodontics. She is a member of the Maryland State Dental Association and American Dental Association.

Dr. Richter spent 16 years practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in Harford and Cecil counties while living in the city of Baltimore. She has since moved back home to Anne Arundel County to be closer to family and is excited to join Maryland Holistic Dentistry.

In her spare time, Dr. Richter enjoys reading, gardening and spending time on the water, crabbing, swimming and boating. She also loves music and cheering on the Ravens and Orioles. Most importantly, however, Dr. Lory is most at home when spending time with her husband and new baby.

 

Rodney A. Floyd, DDS

Our Crownsville Location
Dr. FloydDr. Floyd entered the University of Maryland Dental School after successfully completing a three-year pre-dental program at Tennessee Technological University. Upon graduation from school, he served two years in the Navy at NAS New Orleans in Bell Chase, Louisiana. After which, he was an instructor and assistant professor at the Louisiana State University Dental School.

Working as an associate dentist in two dental practices, Dr. Floyd opened his office in Crownsville, Maryland, where he has served the Crownsville and greater Annapolis area for over 30 years. The focus of his office has been family and cosmetic dentistry.

Continuing education is important in keeping up to date with the latest advances and technologies available. Training in Invisalign®, sedation dentistry, and basic and advanced life support, as well as through the Chesapeake Study Group and the nationally recognized Triple Crown Study Club, have allowed Dr. Floyd to keep on the cutting edge of dentistry.

Dr. Floyd and his wife, Elaine, have three sons: Michael, Gavin and Brendan. After family, Dr. Floyd enjoys traveling, playing tennis, fishing, gourmet cooking, reading and watching professional baseball games.

In the community, Dr. Floyd has been involved with the Green Hornets organization in soccer, basketball and baseball. Both he and his wife have enjoyed serving in the Church Hospitality Program and Heavens Kitchen.
